The following two images are film photos taken at the same location looking North towards Polaris. The first is a 30 second exposure and the second image is a 5 minute exposure.
The following image is a digital picture of directly above our heads. This is a single exposure of about 13 seconds on a 40mm lens. The Andromeda Galaxy stands out in the top half of the image while the Milky Way Galaxy core dominates the lower half.
